Finished Quilt of Valor quilt top with Quiltsmart Star Struck ZigZapps! Border

Quiltsmartie Pat approached us regarding her Quilt of Valor Quilt a few weeks ago.  She wanted to add some Quiltsmart Star Struck Zig Zapps! to the border, and we were happy to help!  Pat has since finished her quilt top, and we are very impressed by the amazing job she did.


The quilt measures 58"x74", and features Hearth and Home Blocks from QOV.  There are 2.5" block border strips with 2.5" squares at each corner.  The blue frame bordering the finished blocks is 1.5" in width.  Pat added red, white, and blue Star Struck ZigZapps all around her 6.5" quilt border to add a truly patriotic touch.

The Quilt of Valor quilts are given to combat service members and vets, and are a very personal way to show patriotism.  This NBC news report has a great video and explains how the QOV benefit service members and vets.
